HELP- "I am getting much more spam"
With the new spam filter it needs to learn spam and how to deal with it. So it will get better as time goes on. However there is something you can do. Log into your web mail
http://mail.ethixs.com and go to Options then Spam settings and lower your setting at the bottom to 3 or less and this will make the filter more aggressive. It may cause you to have some good mail sent to your spam folder here in the web based email but at least you won't get as much spam in your Inbox. Any questions email me support@ethixs.com

Update-If  you are prompted for a user name and password to send email then
you must add your whole email address in account name to send mail.
You can permanently set that at the same place you set
"My server requires authentication" under account name.

We are going to a new mail server on Tuesday Dec. 5th. I will try to explain most of the
changes you will need to be aware of.

We will still be fitering the spam mail but it will be placed in a spam folder for you to
review if you think you are not receiving all your expected email. You will have to log
into the web based email at http://mail.ethixs.com  and use your email address to get into
the account. (Of course this is for Ethixs customers, if you have a domain on our server you
will log into http://mail.mydomain.com or whatever your domain is to get to your web based email)

Then you can look into the spam folder to see if there is mail in there that you were expecting.
If there is you can move it to your inbox so that it can be delivered. There are very good
instructions on how to do this on the web mail server.

Then you can whitelist that person so that no more mail gets caught from that address.

We had to go this route because now over 90% of all email is spam mail and it was just too
time consuming to go through all the spam mail for everyone.Also notice that the web mail
address is http://mail.ethixs.com  and NOT http://mail.ethixs.com:8383 like it used to be.

We will change the link on the web page at www.ethixs.com so that you can go directly to
the new web based email.

Many of you will want to know where the mail is that was left on the old server.
We will make another address for the old mail server http://mail2.ethixs.com:8383
(or http://mail2.mydomain.com:8383) and also will have a link to that on the home page.
You will be able to veiw that mail but will not be able to send and receive from there.

If you use mail clients like Outlook Express or Outlook or Netscape or Firefox Thunderbird
you should not have mail on the old server as you download it when you check it..but we wanted
to let you know where to go just in case you needed to look.

I am sure there will be many questions so please email me or call if you need help.
We are planning a smooth transition but as always we are dealing with technology and
there may be glitches here and there that we will have to work out...
